Just wondering if anyone has played through these cabs and what you think of them? What head did you use to play through them? I'm thinking of picking up a 410 and a 210.

Ashdown MAG bass cabs?

I just picked my Ashdown MAG 410 and 210 last night, plugged my GK 400RB IV in and it sounds sweet! Huge sound, amazing tone with the GK, I can't wait to rock with it live.
+1. I'm still kicking myself for going hartke instead of Ashdown MAGs for my first rig, they're great cabs at a great price.
I gig with my Ashdown Mag 410 and my GK MB2500 head almost every weekend. It's not too heavy and I like the tone.
Ashdown cabs is great i think. Haven't had any issues.

I have a used 115 Deep cab that I got so damn cheap. Very satisfied with the purchase. It more than adequately covers the low end of the spectrum I pair this with a recently purchased pre-owned Avatar 210 for a song (I think this is a pre-neo cab since it is damn heavy), with both cabs running into a second hand Ampeg SVT-350 (also bought cheap). I still have to sit down and tweak that rig to its sweet spot. But from what I've seen/heard so far, I'm more than satisfied with my hand-me-downs. I'm a damn cheap bastard!
I bought a Ashdown Mag 300 and blew the first speaker (15") a few days after warranty ran out.I contacted Ashdown and they sent me a new one (Jenson Mod )for just shipping and handling. I like a company that works with it's customers like that.I hated the sound of the combo at first,(not enough bottom from the speaker)but just recently tweaked the EQ part of the amp and found alot of bottom.My cab is small,and a bigger cab would be better !
I played a 410 and 115 for a long while. I enjoyed the setup, but overall it just wasn't my tone. The tweeter threw me off, and unless you go in and disconnect it, there's no adjustment. (negative point 1).
Another thing I disliked about them was the fact that there were no casters, or provisions for them either. I never realized how much I loved my cabs to have casters until I gigged these.
While not heavy or unbearable, it does suck to carry these from the vehicle clear to the stage. A lot of gigs I play are on ground floor, so I normally just wheel them to the place and go. Not so with the MAGs.
Good over all reporduction of what I threw at it. Ampeg SVT-CL sounded decent through them. The 6 string Spector sounded great as well, as always.
The 410 would do a good job on it's own, I believe, if you like their tone. The 410 and 210 would be a nice wall.
For me, there's better gear to be had in that department. My SWR 12 Stack is actaully my ideal cab, and I finally scored one recently. I just need a 2nd one now, and I'll be set. The solo 4x12 does the range better and more musically than the 410+115 Ashdown's did, IMO. It doesn't have the ultra highs, but that's because it doesn't have a tweeter (a good thing, IMO).
The 4x10 sounds awesome. Mine rattles a little on the E string but nothing you can notice when playing with a band.
I play it through an Ampeg b2re and everyone on this forum says how the head sounds thin and quiet. I didn't really understand their thoughts but one gig I took my b2re too they had back line Ampeg SVT cabs. I plugged into those instead of my Ashdown thinking it would be convinient and they completely massacred my tone. My head sounded like garbage :scowl:
Now I take my 300 dollar 4x10 to all gigs
