ashdown sound?

Perhaps you could be more specific and elaborate. Or else you'll just get replies such as:
"if you want something that sounds like Ashdown, get Ashdown. Duh!".
However, Behringer make a Mag clone if you're on a budget. I don't know how close the tone is to the real thing though.

If you mean what other company's stuff sounds closer to ashdown?
I'd say ashdown is a better ampeg. Better low-end mostly. Or you could say a cross between ampeg and trace-elliott.

yes, scoot - you need to expand on your question. I've owned /used an ashdown amp since 2000, and I'd be happy to answer any question I can... but I just don't know what you mean...

Isn't this like asking "What tastes like turkey?" Chicken tastes somewhat like turkey, but it isn't turkey. For that you need genuine turkey.
I doubt another brand is going to sound exactly like an Ashdown (what model Ashdown?) in all situations. With specific volume, input drive, and tone settings, you can get most any amp to sound like another. But once you make changes, all bets are off.

Ok...Im 56 years old and have been playing all my life. I have had many many amps. currently play an ASHDOWN ABM 500 EVOII through an ASHDOWN 115 AND A 410.ive never ever heard anything like this rig.its so buttery,deep and punchy.
so Im curious if any other modern gear that I have NOT giged through has the same tonal qualities.

Ampeg hybrids sort of sound similar, maybe a little edgier than Ashdown. Haven't played it but from the way people talk about it, maybe an Aguilar AG500. But why reinvent the wheel? If your rig ain't broke, don't fix it.
