Ashdown VU meter - issue!

I presume you've tried the usual trick of giving the glass a good tap with your fingernail.

Does it remain stuck when the amp is switched off?

This can sometimes be caused by static electricity. With the amp switched off, try touching the glass with something that is a good earth. If the cause is static, you should see the needle float back to zero.

If this doesn't work, you're looking at an actual mechanical or magnetic fault in the meter itself, in which case I would recommend you get it looked at by a professional service engineer.
