Why are the pools so big in Olympic diving? I mean, they all land in basically the same place. Seems like they could make the pools smaller.

I remember those old cartoons where the guy ( or moose) would dive from a dizzying perch into a bucket of water
They also use those pools for water polo and they need lots of room for the horses
Today I was walking downtown and a blind guy with a cain asked me what street crossing we were at. It made me wonder, do they make braille maps for blind people?
What for; how would they orient themselves to it? But to answer your question, I dunno.
I guess, but a lot of cities have a logical system of naming streets, you just need the key.

I couldn't grow an Afro. I STILL can't grow an Afro. It's a bleak spot in my whole existence. My wife grows a fantastic Afro, and so does our son. His friends called it a Jew-fro, and it took a Jewish girlfriend in college to teach him how to pick it out and make it into a proper Afro. Poor kid got no help from me that way.
And, I still can't grow an Afro, and it's that one great hole.
There's one other braille thing I think is a bit ironic, cruel, or otherwise off. The ATMs around here have braille instructions for using the touch screen. Yeah, right. How does that work?
