Is this the guy who wrote this? I didn't know a 14-year old could write about millennials.
Nothing has changed except hardly anyone wears a tie any more. I'm actually actively trying to escape the cube life and the inevitable shift to management
Some people like management others do not. Look around at current management. Are they salaried employees who put in a whole lot of hours? Do they seem frazzled and worn out? If it does, think about it that is what you want.
I have 0 interest in going into management in my industry, though it is where most engineers wind up eventually. I already work too much for my liking and all of our managers are well overtasked. I like technical work and don't like people management at all.
I was born in 1964. A Boomer I guess... but I am in the Tail End Charlie bunch.
I graduated in 1982...into the start of a major recession. Unemployment was high. Interest rates were insanely high.
University was expensive. Getting established in a career was difficult.
Yet we struggled and raised families and built careers. All the while, building our futures, and paying into pensions.
We did not get a free ride in life. Life was hard.
.....And then it got harder.. the whole game changed when the world became computerized (Boomer created)
We weren't raised and schooled with computers. We had to adapt on the fly. Many had to start all over in their careers.
We worked hard then, and work hard now, and still have 15+ years of working hard before retirement.
We did not get to enjoy any of the "good times" perceived by some of the following generations.
Many who are quick to complain about how it is so hard for them to succeed in life.
They complain about Boomers ruining everything. LOL Boomers shouldn't be able to have what they earned.
They don't think that the people who have created and contributed for 45+ years are entitled to enjoy the fruits of their labours.
You following generations have had it easier than any generation before you.
And some think that life should be easy, and you deserve everything you want.... right now.
Life is hard, and you are entitled to nothing. Nothing is free. It is all hard work.
A lifetime of it to get all the things you want.
So quit blaming the prior generations for not handing you life on a silver platter, and go out and earn it for yourself.
Then you can enjoy the generations coming up behind you bitching about how their life is so hard and your generation has all the good things in life.
as to my enjoying the fruits.... my Tail End Charlie bunch sure as hell aren't going to see any pensions....the "lock box" investment for "our" future was broken into and looted by government.
The pension systems are already broke, and I still have at least 15 years (if they haven't moved the goalposts again) before I can even hope to receive a dime of my own, from 45+ years of paying in.

As boomers, many of us could support ourselves while working part-time jobs in college. That bird has mostly flown, but our daughters (graduated in 2011 and 2013) earned all their spending and rent money with jobs, while we paid tuition and books.
The old adage was that to secure your future you needed to be well-educated.
Now you have all these people walking around with useless degrees that don't apply to a lot of jobs.
The Catch-22 is that the more educated you are, the less the employers want you because with that education you will expect a higher salary....which they don't want to pay.
The people that have useless degrees and haven't found a job think they need yet more education.....so they go back to school to get another degree......and the employer still doesn't want you because you are way over-educated for their needs....and you'll want even more money.
Up here in Canada it's strange. The only country in the world that doesn't have a Ministry of Education. Once you get your degrees , the government doesn't care what happens to you after.
Compare this with Switzerland. That country has the highest job placement on the planet for people that come out of universities. Approximately 97% success.
But they go about it a totally different way than Canada and the U.S.

AT&T park. Other than that I don't know. I don't eat hot dogs too often. Mostly when I am at a baseball game. I will ask around though.

That's how you do it in Texas. Not in San Francisco. You have to upgrade your terminology and refer to it as a tube stake on your sign in San Francisco. Sheesh. Everyone knows that!
I asked around and someone from Chicago told me that "What's Up Dog!" has good hot dogs. see the link below. If you are ever in Moscow they are there too.
