assistance using a combo amp for a monitor

I have an Ampeg 108 with an upgraded neo 10 inch. I would like to use this amp cab as a bass monitor, what do I need to do to do that, do I need to be able to disconnect the speaker from the amp circuit?

I would use it as is and mic it, either tilted back or elevated, the better to hear it.

Buy a di box and run output to FOH and parallel out to amp

the ba108 has a line out. you should be able to go direct or more likely to DI with that. need to check the manual for the chain (effects loop/eq before line out? etc)

you want to use it in addition to a regular bass amp? you want it as your only on-stage sound?
