Atlanta Bass Gallery

I was working in Atlanta today and passed where Atlanta Bass Gallery once stood on Piedmont Ave. What happened to the store? And out of curiousity, what happened to the inventory?

I feel bad for the owner. He was a nice guy, but not much of a salesman. I would have to initiate every conversation. If I didn't talk to him first I could walk in, play, walk out, without him putting whatever he was reading down.

It moved to Marietta street downtown. The new location is almost 3 times bigger, but (last visit) was still not completely stocked. At any rate, I agree about Jim. He's very protective, and rightfully so, about everything in the store, and it kinda seems like I'm bothering him when I ask to try something out :hmm:.

WOW!!! the Atlanta Bass Gallery is like a bass players candy store...the new location is fantastic, more room, more variety of high end basses and amps !!..where can you go and see/test one of the largest selection of high end basses!!! Jim lets you have complete roam of the store and doesnt stand over you as you go throughout the store...it is a very relaxed atmosphere...Isnt that what you want ?????? you can take your time and if you have a question , just ask Jim, and he will answer it...he is very open and tells it like it is...what more can you ask for?? the GAS attacks are extreme here and it has hitten me 10 times !!!!2nd attack!!!

10th attack !!!

When you sell the high end gear like this guy does, there isn't a whole of selling skills needed. People looking for a Ritter don't need to be convinced to buy one. They just need to find a store that has one for sale.

Unless you're CTbass (a guy with a lot of GAS and a deep wallet :D ) you probably know what you want before you go shopping, at least when you're spending that kind of money!
