Anyway I guess it goes down to another YMMV.
What it boiled down to was me getting pissed, not at Hipshot, but at Warwick for making a great sounding 6, but a massive diver. At least I got some great tuners that keep tune and are smooooooooth, but they didn't do anything to prevent the dive. How sad.
BTW, I'm lefty..I saw the bass on sale here and bought it...we don't get much choice as lefties, so I jumped on it....
