Attitude Plus

I've got a basic Yammy Attitude Plus bass that sounds decent through the Hartke 2000, TP 210 and Ashdown Mag 115 cab but the highs are lacking and the lows are a bit muddy. I'm wanting to do a pickup swap and I think I've narrowed my choices down. My question is with the bridge. How would swapping the POS stocker with an aftermarket one affect the sound? Recommendations are a plus.

Any suggestions on pickguard material? I kind of like the white on black and thought white pearloid would look nice. Any other ideas on mods would be great!

I have sort of a tacky sense of style, but I was imagining vintage Ric knobs on it

Can I ask though. What makes that an Attitude Plus, as compared to a regular Attitude

It's the bottom of the line Attitude. I guess the Plus makes it sound nicer that what it really is.
