I go to practice today and after we get done jamming out on our new tunes he tells us that he's not dedicated enough to gig more than once a month and we should be on the look out for a new drummer that can gig more often. Great...we play stuff along the lines of Black Label Society and Pantera so a good rock/metal drummer that doesn't go off the wall on double bass and can GROOVE will be hard to come by. My question is: How do you attract a drummer? Do you make a demo disc and pass it around to get their attention? Our current demo is a year old now and pretty poorly done I feel so we would need to make a new demo. Or do you just hold open audition and hope for the best?
