I had to sell my PJB 300 so I could afford some new toys to experiment with. In its place I purchased the Avatar SB112 with the traditional magnetic speaker.
Kind of heavy at 46 lbs., but the room to get loud is awesome. I never really wanted to drive the PJB as hard as I feel like driving this SB112. Maybe it is knowing replacement cost is not a huge issue.
Anyway, the cab is punchy and bassy as all get out. I am running an old Crate bass head through it and in a home trial it sounds like me.
I have an older Avatar 212 which I like a lot as well. They make some great speakers for the money. If you need a cab on a budget I recommend checking the Avatar line out.
