I have both and I have issues with both materials and covers. I ordered 2 navy blue vinyl covers from amplifiercovers.com for my 2 GB Neox 212T cabs. They looked OK quality, just thick blue vinyl w/sometype white, fiber lining. FIrst off they dont trim the bottom back to allow for the Neox casters so they get hungup on the casters if you try to roll the cabs with covers on em.
And, first time I rubbed my cab against my SUV rubber covered bumper, it put a good slice in the vinyl cover right down to expose the inside lining, since then its happened a few times using a folding cart so there are a few tears in the cover. Not complete holes but like the vinyl is stripped back exposing the inner lining but cabs did not take the hit, so I guess they are working. But with more use now the inside lining is leaving more and more of the white fibers all over the tops of my 2 cabs. I have to pull it off with every use with my fingers. Using scotch tape or a lint roller just imbeds the fiber-bunnies further into the cab fur. What a PITA.
Now I ordered a factory Bergantino cover for my new, tolex covered, NV215, that cover is a nightmare. Everytime I unload the cab out the back of my SUV, the cab comes sliding out of the cover into my hands or my lap, geez. I lay the cab on its back or its side, either way the cab comes flying out of the cover when I start to tilt the cab out of my SUV cargo area, pretty heavy cab at 93lbs, so it comes out at a good clip, lol. I usually load/unload this cab by myself and I've tried holding one of the side handles thru the cover opening and this does not work cause the cab tries to tilt out on me.
So now I slide the cab out some from cargo area, place my hands under the cab, walk back a little bend my knees and slide the cab out keeping my hands under the cab. Most times the cover stays half in the cargo area and the cab slides out partway anyway. Also, I have to be careful the coasters dont make contacat with the ground, the cab will roll out on its back. Thats why taking it out on its side is better sometimes but the cab still comes out the cover halfway as Im unloading it.
I've been thinking of sticking several large strips of velcro on bottom, back of NV cab then the other pieces inside the cover so that maybe this will keep the cover on the cab til I'm ready to slide it off myself. Dont know if that'll work but I gotta try something. I sometimes still forget this can happen and I unload the NV cab only to have to catch it before it crushes my toes or falls onto ground. Man, what a pain. I used just cover on all these cabs with an old bed comforter around them when loading/unloading, they stayed protected and kept em safe from dents and dings, progress, Bah!
