Hamish Stewart is playing into 1967 Ampeg B-15N ( F) It was pretty rare to see that particular ( Black Tolex with Silver Pinstripe) amp in studios, because they only produced that particular version for @ 2 Years. Most studios had a Blue Check Vinyl or the Black Helmet Head Logo B-15’s I had the distinct privilege of seeing this line up of Average White Band at Mississippi Nights on the landing here in St. Louis. They Hamish and Alan switched off playing bass depending upon who sang lead. It was amazing.
The crazy thing was to hear them play and sing, then offstage their speaking voices had a deep Scottish accent. Nuts.
This was my most llistened song last year! Such a unique tune, especially the guitar line. Singing on top of that is insane.

Two of my favorite AWB tunes, School Boy Crush is my absolute favorite and Person to Person is a close second. I included a version of School Boy Crush live on Soul Train. They insisted on playing live.
So so good! And props too for the groove being laid down by Steve Ferrone - what a rhythm section.
My HS GF turned me on to AWB. We saw them twice at a smallish place in Boulder, Colorado way back in the 70's. Loved them then, love them now. I'd never seen this particular video of them in the studio. Amazing - thanks for sharing.
