That's what I'm saying. I think we all got duped. Some good suggestions that could be forwarded to the TB team though… so the thread is not null.
Sorry, I was editing and you quoted me.. I'll put my original post back up...

In one sentence, you said you got shipping info and tracked the package to Michigan. Then in another sentence you said you got no shipping info at all. Which is it?

I used AI to summarize the OP. Great use for AI.

The sender should be responsible for delivery, not the recipient. The shipper bought or declined insurance, not the recipient.
Correct.

Even if USPS lost the package, Obsidian is still responsible to make the recipient whole whether that's with a refund or shipping a replacement.

This is dead simple, not sure why it's even an issue....

Ya, I can't defend that "paragraph".

I just don't like the idea that a business can ship a product and feel like they're off the hook if the shipping company THEY hired doesn't deliver.
Yes, it's their problem, but sometimes you have to set aside principle and just get the problem solved however you can.

I'd like to see the messages he sent to Obsidian.

Oh, I missed that. Again.

Wouldn't it be great if a newly registered user's username had a different color (maybe green) for the first week or so, so that they can be immideatly recognized?

This could also help with AI generated threads that are just started to give a fresh account some credibility for later spamming or fraudulent behavior in the classifieds.

I second this motion...

Some forums have a probationary period where the user can't post for a certain period of time, or has to participate in other ways...like fill out some of the profile, reply to [insert number] of threads first, or upload an avatar.

I know some of that may be a pain, but the amount of AI and trash threads it would curb might end up being easier for the Mods in the long run.

Some forums give users a tag such as "junior member" or similar.
