Awesome customer service from Audere

Leaving my original post as is so you can see my schizo day trying to install my new Audere...

Bought it new so expecting they will make it right, but very disappointed today. I have owned two others and never had a single issue. Bought this one new (as I did the others) and once connected get zero output. reconnected the pickups about 8 times...nothing. Also experimented with the wire length just to be safe...nada. Volume pot is also VERY scratchy (which surprised me) and if you turn it all the way down you get a loud hum. All sounds like something is not right.

Also noted that instead of the expected three blinks when you plug in it blinks rapidly for a second or two. Didn't find anything in troubleshooting on this.

I know it is under warranty, but now I have to wait until Monday to call, get the RMA, return the thing. Sigh.

So much for exciting bass toy day. Maybe this is God telling me I should have bought the J-Retro...

Thanks for letting me vent.

Rather than delete this thread, I need to instead compliment David from Audere for jumping in quickly via my email and talking me through things. The interesting thing is it turns out the copper shielding I have installed in the bass was contacting the control plate and causing all the issues. Interesting thing is I know I did exactly this with my Lakland and had no issues with the Audere in that bass. Still, all is fixed and working as it should.

Lesson learned. Never doubt Audere. Great technology and awesome customer service.
