I picked up a copy of "Handsworth Revolution" by Steel Pulse yesterday... great album.

I also bought this...

...mainly for my kid, but there's some great stuff on there, particularly a fantastic ska version of Popeye the Sailor Man!

Handsworth is a great album...Probably the best of the Steel Pulse records...although I have a soft spot in my heart for Earth Crisis.

I found my way there for some dub-oriented VST plug ins...but the site is pretty killer.

This CD is excellent, especially for neophyte reggae fans like myself who don't own the original releases. It has given me a new appreciation for Lee Perry. Thank you again dlloyd. On a somewhat related note (and I'm sure many of you already know this) there is footage of LSP and The Upsetters recording at Black Ark in the film Roots, Rock, Reggae. I've seen some of it before in one of the Bob Marley documentaries, but it is cool to see what Black Ark looked like and how Perry and The Upsetters worked.

Yep, I just got my copy at the weekend, ordered directly from Trojan... it took a while but came with a cool Trojan records sticker.

Yep, the quality of this one is a hundred times better than the dodgy one I got a few months ago. Enter the Dragon.

It's a bit further from dub than most of the records so far mentioned, but I'll ask here anyway...

Does anyone know if "A Tribute to the Emperor" by Ras Michael and the Sons of Negus has ever been released on CD? I can find it on vinyl (Trojan records, 1976), but have no way to play that.
