B-52 Matrix-1000 V2...anyone?

Anyone used a B-52 Matrix-1000 V2 before. I'm wondering if you can run 2 mains and 2 floor monitors with one of these. I'm not wanting to get one but we're playing at a place that has one. I'm trying to see if we can use it or if we need to take my PA. We will be running vocals only through the PA. Thanks.

I owned and used the V1 for about 5 years. It is a sealed system so to speak. For monitors you would need a second system of some sort. meaning cabs and power. I liked the first system, used it for my 5 peice band. Later used the sub with powered tops and the B52 tops made IMHO killer monitors.

They sound surprisingly good. So long as you keep a decent amount below headroom you're okay. But be careful pushing them. They will still overheat after about 3 hours and you can destroy a speaker or blow an amp. I've got a couple sets I use regularly. Both are at B52 to be "looked at" for shutting down after about 3 hours use. I think they just overheat. We'll see. I plan to buy more of them but with the knowledge they can't just be opened up and maxed if you need to play a while...

Yes and for the record I used mine for 5+ years and never had a thermal shut down and only once did I have to replace a 15" sub driver.
