G&L does this same kind of pricing twice a year. It's not silly at all, but it is a good deal, espec. on the Tributes, if you're willing to buy an imperfect bass.

I probably will pick up one this time around.

This bass absolutely slams. The always awesome FretNation.com has short DR's which I love (and I got white strings which are great on the eyes when working on a dark fretboard). I swapped out the knobs and pickguard screws for black ones. There's more basses available. This is a GREAT axe.

Loving mine too. All I can find for an imperfection is a small discoloration on the pickguard - I'll take it! Taking it out for its first gig on Friday, looking forward to it. Thanks for the tip on Fret Nation as well - great selection of shorts.
