When double bassists play the 5th cello suite do they normally lower the G? Or use a different tuning? Or is it neutralized by playing it in thumb position and difficult either way?
I’ve worked on the Sarabande before and don’t use the scordatura. The edition I have has both sheet music for the scordatura and one transposed to standard tuning.

Is it an edition of the Sarabande or of the whole 5th Suite? I’m mainly wondering about the double and triple stops. I guess I can just try them myself!
