Back from Nashville - Sadowsky Content

But it looks like BigMikeW is Gone Country...lol:D

Been "country" for a long time my friend. Just finally rolling up the welcome mat and taking it where I belong, feel more comfortable and where I will get more work.

Great song. Really nice job Mike.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it.

How about her vocals? WOW! I think she nailed it personally.

Bought my first Mooradian double bag from Kevin several years ago. Nice guy. At the time his truck had just been stolen from a gas station and in it was a rare color Sadowsky and a Juzek upright. Maybe some other stuff. I hate a thief!!! Hes a great player!

WOW...That's cool...Do you know where I can find anymore info on him? Only thing I really know about him is that he played on Brad Paisley CD's. I can never find any info are pics of the guy...

What are you looking fro exactly? He isn't a spotlight kind of guy. Very down to earth and humble. Comes in, gives you 100%, very creative and easy to work with.

Brad only uses Kevin on his records. Do a search on ALLMUSIC.COM for him.

I don't think he gets the credit he deserves.

Yeah super cool guy. He got that stolen Sadowsky back, and offered to sell it to me maybe a year ago, but I could barely afford my rent, much less a one-of-a-kind Sadowsky.

The bass he offered to sell you was probably the replacement he bought when the real one was stolen. He had Roger build him a new one after the theft.

Once he got that one back he sold the replacement.

Let me know if you're interested in buying a condo. I finance commercial real estate for a living, and could give you some recommendations.

Not interested in a condo. Wife and three kids. LOL But thanks man.

I think we are going to rent for 6 months to a year before deciding on exactly where we want to live.

I want to be close to the studios but the wife wants to be further out.

I live just south of Nashville. We welcome to the area! Not much of a live scene here, but if you know the right people, there are studio gigs all over. Not much of a place for rock and R&B ( my main styles), but if you are doing any country or contemporary Christian, there is a lot of stuff here.

I just got back a couple of months ago from a country tour and I am already going back on the road again, doing music I like this time! Funny, because the band is a bunch of newbies to the area from LA.

Keep a look out for deals in Antioch, Hendersonville, or Smyrna. They're worth the 10-20min drive at a much lower price to own a house than Nashville.

Nice Mike!

I must be gettin' soft in my "old" age (I'm nearly 43, afterall ;))

the song made me cry! great job, mike

that bass sounds sooooo sweet, too!

Thanks guys!

Which Sadowsky was it? The original that was stolen and later retrieved? Or the replacement for it?

I remember that story well, and from what I recall, the original stolen instrument was a tone monster.

It was the original. Swine sold the replacement.

Omni Sound Studios is my home there. Great studio. I highly recommend them.

I am moving to Nashville in April or May and will be doing a lot there.

To hear the song click on the "Letters From War" link.

I was supposed to move there last year - still depressed since I had to turn the job down...especially when it's 20 degrees where I now sit.....

All the best to you!!! Be sure to check out Savarino's Cucina there!!

Wow - I'm more impressed with the fact you let someone else play bass even though you were producing the track. That is so anti-ego, it should be a lesson to us all.

Thank you but, I find it hard to concentrate on seven different instruments playing if I am one of them. ;)

You have to have some ego to sit in the producers chair and take all the responsibility of how the entire project turns out!

Besides, Kevin is a great bass player; better than I am. Having guys like him on sessions makes my job easier and allows me to focus on capturing what myself and the artist want to hear.
