After selling my xds plus system a couple of weeks ago I realized I screwed up for letting it go.

I picked up a brand new xds95 system having owned one when they 1st came out and noticed a few manufacturing differences.

1st they stiffened up the metal that the notorious belt clip is made of
2nd and most important is the cable that came with the thing seems to be improved

Im glad line6 is staying with the x2 series

As far as Line 6 discontinuing the xds95 line not true. The products are now made over seas instead of the USA. That is why the price is cheaper/ not blowout. I have owned both the US version and the far east made version. Line 6 is continuing supprt of all xds series wireless.

As far as the Brace audio. I remember the specs on the original site saying when they 1st came out they only went down to 50hz. Like all good companies Im sure they made the freq response cater more to us bassists and redesigned to go down to 10hz which for any extended range instrument we need.

As far as me personally. I have not had any problems with interference in the 900mhz band that x2 systems operate in. But Im staying in the states to play

In the thread I started, we discussed the Brace vs Line 6. Well I got the Line 6, mainly because of the 9v system (I can use my 1 spot, and I get 9v battries dirt cheap), and they last longer than the two AA's in the Brace. My guitar player has the Brace. I got two gigs from the 9v, and he barely got through one gig on the Brace.

We AB'd them, too. Couldn't tell a bit of difference, to the human ear. I started out wanting the Brace, but ended up with the Line 6, and there wasn't $15 worth of difference in what I could get each for. I can promise you I wouldn't have bought the Line 6, had the Brace sounded better. Not for $15, especially.

Maybe you got a bad Line 6, or my guitar player got a bad Brace, but I really could not tell ANY difference in the sound. I wouldn't hesitate to use a Brace, so I'm not putting it down. I'm just saying NOBODY associated with the band could hear any difference. And we've all been gigging for four decades.

I have had two line 6 models given to me for testing,I kept the relay model sent the other one back. But I also have the brace audio .and I use the brace audio more than the line 6 ,simply because I don't need to have a power source for it. I did however notice a difference in my signal with the cheaper line 6 model I think it was xds 95. Just my 2cents

There may be something to this - because I've felt that the low end XDS-95 doesn't sound quite as good as the XDS-PLUS or the XDR-95, so maybe that could account for the different perceptions...

I A/B'd the Brace system against both the XDS-PLUS and XDR-95, and couldn't detect a discernable difference in tonal quality...

Old experiences die hard. I remember when Sennheiser backed the X-Wire system; they sent me a faulty cable, the in customer service tried to blame me and I knew then I'd have to personally see a lot of people using that company's wireless products before I'd touch their wireless again. Meanwhile, the XDS came through Line6 and I'm impressed with the one I bought. I still have the old X-Wire, no difference in the guitar's sound between the two to my ears.

My guitarist I play with was wanting a wireless so I let him try my XDS95 I just bought. He loved it and wanted it I sold it to him . Then low and behold I got a great deal on a refurbed xds plus model with a 3 yr repair/ refund warranty from fleabay, perfect timing!!!!! And this one is staying put.
