Backing/Click track tempo mapping

Reeeal quick question...

With NIN (or other bands), on the songs that used click tracks, was the tempo mapped where the click would speed up in certain parts (chorus, etc), or was it a straight tempo throughout each song?

Depends...sometimes things are tempo mapped so as to give a 1bpm - 3 bpm bump in the chorii. Most of the time, for a live circumstance, it's pretty linear.

Cool, thanks. I've just started using tempo mapping on some of my recordings, wasn't sure if it should be used live or not.
