Backline 600 w/ 2 410BLX?

The Backline head is good. Basically a foreign made GK 400RB and will put out 300 watts into 4 ohms.

I think you can do better than the BLX cabinets though. They won't do the head justice. For probably less money you could get an Avatar 2x12 Neo cabinet in 4 ohms that would handle small to medium clubs if you're not into screaming, ear damaging volumes. If you are, then a pair of 8 ohm Avatar 4x10s will be far better although they will cost more than the BLX speakers. It would be a pretty good rig though. Or an Avatar 2x12 and an Avatar 2x10.

Great advise. The GK backline 600 will do you right its a great budget head get it for sure. Those GK BLX cabs blow big time. I tried one once and took it back in less than a week worse cab I have ever owned. Try anything but those God awful things with the GK 600 and you will be happy. Avatar is great and GK has better cabs. I ran a newer Sunn 4x10 with mine and it was killer.

+1 the Backline amp is nothing but a good deal all around. The speakers otoh, not so great. In fact, they totally blow. Buy the head, and look around for a used, but decent sounding 410. 4 ohms if you just want one, or as mentioned, a pair of 8 ohm cabs, 212/ 210, 210/115, 115/115, whatever you like. I'd thing a single 4 ohm 2x12 would be plenty.

ok so im going against everyone here.. i have the backline 600 with a 410blx... im in love with it... ive had it for 2 months and couldnt be happier.. i think its a great cab and worth the money you pay for it... but i think you shouldnt go with 2 410s... if you want a more boomy bass feel to it i would go through the 410 and maybe a 115... not an expert though in that.. but i tried it once using my friends peavey 115 and i liked it

I rocked BL 600 and the 410 And 115 setup for a long time.Did a full tour on it...from outdoor shows to halls and pubs.Always got the job done.
Though not gonna lie,I advanced quickly to a better rig.For popping and slapping it lacked oomph.Cant expect it to take ya to the moon though I guess.

For what it's worth I'd say good bang foer the buck!!Big time!\

i use a Backline 600 head on a Ampeg 2x15 and i really like it.
i do set the head flat and either run my Jazz through a Boss Bass EQ and use it as my pre or when i use my Cort i use the Bart pre on it.
not that there is anything wrong with the pre that is on the Backline..it's just a preference.
i have had mine for 3 years and played numerous gigs with it and it has not failed yet

I can't recommend those 410 BLX-II cabs at all. I own one of them and use it with my Hartke HA3500 head and the cab is not good. Since I played a lot of gigs with HA3500 and hartke 4x10 cab I can say, that 410 BLX-II is killing my sound now. I am currently looking for some good replacement.

My BL600 kicks ass through a Mesa Diesel 15. Even the crappy distortion sounds half decent through a good cab. I tried the BL600 thru a few GK cabs first, and they all sounded loose and farty. Not a fan of the GK cabs, but the heads are pretty solid.
