I usually don't bother to put string reviews online but a recent experience with Labella left a bad taste in my mouth.
Purchased a set of the 760FGS for my Epiphone Jack Cassidy. The gold color is eye catching, especially when compared to the 760LTF I normally use.
With the 760FGS, I noticed that the E string sounded muffled and without definition. Played it at a few rehearsals and a 3 hour gig hoping it'd break in but it didn't. Brought it to my tech to look at and he agreed that it sounded weird. He tried to correct it in a setup but no avail so I reached out directly to Labella to get a replacement string.
They couldn't believe the string had an issue. They wanted video evidence. I had my tech take a video of it. They told it was fine and needed professional setup...
I ordered a new Hipshot Supertone, which was a planned upgrade anyway to see if a better constructured/more solid bridge and saddle would help. It didn't.
Not wanting to waste another week of back and forth over $50 strings, I purchased a set of GHS Precision Flats. No issues. Sounds great. Very pleased.
I can't remember a time ever where a string company made me jump through hoops to replace a string that I was having issues with. Love Labellas, but I'll be looking elsewhere next time I need a set of flats.
They're a classic string but buyer beware if you ever run into an issue.
