Bad habits for bassists?

Bad habit:
1. Not warming up with stretching before playing
2. Not warming up by playing scales before playing
3. Not warming up in general before playing
4. wearing strap too low (check where the great bassists hold their basses - it's higher up folks..) Rule of thumb adjust the bass so when you are sitting or standing it is in the same position.
5. Not using as many fingers on the right hand as possible (again practice your scales with more than one finger).

I don't think this is necessarily a bad habit as much as a chosen right-hand technique.

When (rarely) I'm playing slap, I use three fingers including my thumb.

When I'm playing more traditional finger style, I use two fingers.

When playing with a pick, you could say I don't use any fingers.
