I just bought one of these ($130.00)...drops right in

I drew up something like this years ago, in the end I didn't like the large foot print the one piece design dictates. Not that the Babciz isn't a good product.

Yes, the photo below is a replica of the flawed vintage/OEM version...note that the range of adjustment is just a bit greater than the width of the posts, but not nearly as much as the Badbird I:

This is actually a bridge set by BaCH. The bridge part is slightly wider than an original Thunderbird bridge. Allowing enough travel for the saddles to properly intonate. The stopbar is pretty straight forward rectangular.
But it is not a drop-in replacement like Scott's Badbird. And it's not nickel.

I have three Bachbirds, I did change out the tailpieces with my 60s reproductiona the bridge itself I left installed. The Bach bridge is a good bit of work and because the bridge is installed in the correct position the Bachbirds intonate just fine.

That looks great! Honestly a application for the BB II I never considered!

Build is nearly done - I've been playing it the last couple of weeks, making sure I'm happy with the neck profile before shooting finish. Badbird bridge is doing exactly what I'd hoped - full windings stop short of the tuner post.

I did have to widen the tailpiece slots a bit for the E and A strings. Scott, is that typical? Have others had that same issue?
