I had the privilage of using the new Baer ML112 Speaker Cab at a recent show in Claremore, OK, the Bluegrass & Chili Festival. Got to play through it twice. On the Main stage and the secondary.
It is very light weight, and I haven't weighed it but seemed less than the GK Micro Series I used to power it. That amp weighs 26 Lbs.
I have used it with a GK 1001 2x10 Combo, but on this day I was using my EF-5 surviving MB-150S Micro Series.
All I can say is it blew me away. Litterally I could not here the speaker in the GK. The Baer was the cleanest tone, just at the right Freq for both my amps. Roger hit it out of the ball park with this little cabinet. Has Speakon Combo inputs incase you don't have the Speakon cable (which I didn't). Also the cabinet is very comfy to carry around. On the second set I had to tote it 3 blocks to another stage and it was quite easy. I remember laughing at how easy it was, compared to the sound I had just heard come out of it.
I have a hard time explaining tone but what I can say about it is it is very punchy, warm, and the richness of the tone is amazing. It was quite a pleasure to listen to my bass as we were playing. Which says a lot since I was basically playing a small made for upright amp on a HUGH outdoor stage, playing a MIM 70's Jazz that I haven't even tweeked yet. It also sounds good with my 80's active Streamer NT.
If I was you in the market for a salon extention or main cabinet I don't know how you could find anything that would come close to this. Roger sure does good work!
The bass player with the next band up came up on stage with his MarkBass amp, and could not believe what it was after hearing my bass.
