Double Bass Baer ML112 for DB?

Hey folks! There's a pretty decent deal locally for one of these so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using these cabs with DB. I'm definitely liking the idea of a midrange driver like MAS was doing... Any thoughts? Thanks!

I used to own a pair of them. Really great cabs, kinda big for DB is all - they're bulky and somewhat heavy by today's standards. I'm now using RevSound RS112 cabs - 21 lbs, small footprint and sound great with DB. Hard to find used though.

I’m in the Revsound camp too. I use the RS115 for DB. 25 pounds and it sounds wonderful.

I've used that box for upright with a Woods and Acoustic Image heads. Sounded great even a low volume. Not small by acoustic bass standards but killer box for upright and electric. imho

Agreed. I've got 2 of the Baer ML 112 cabs that I bought about 2 years ago. Like B String said, they're not small by jazz-gig standards (I have a Markbass 1x12 that I sometimes use when I just don't feel like lugging a Baer around), BUT other than that the cab sounds amazing for both upright and electric. I use both a Tonehammer 500 and EA Doubler head.
