Bag End Club.

I've been using Bag End since the mid 70's and do or have owned and gigged most of their cabs. They always do the job IME and IMO. A few pics of some of them:

I'm thinking that it would be easier for you and keep the thread cleaner. Also, when the thread is 25 pages long, it'll be easier for someone to find their number. You never know when an emergency could arise and you need your club # ASAP. lol

Here's the current rig.
That's two S15D cabs and two S12D cabs. Generally only one of each makes it to a gig. all four are for stupid loud outdoor gigs with no PA support.
I used to have a D10BD which was a great cab, but after hearing the re-released S10 cabs i sold it.

This might be the place to ask, because a search came up with the ol' goose egg for me:

Is there an easy way to disconnect / turn down / defenestrate the coaxial tweeter in the X type cabs? I'm seriously considering picking up a Bag End cabinet but it seems like most of the used ones loafin' about have such things, and I am no longer a believer in all things tweeter as I once was in times past. Sure, most will say even the nice ones are okay, but I use a lot of fuzz so I'm just not into them at all anymore. Cheers and such.

EDIT: Well I just bought an S12-D so it doesn't really matter, but I'd still like to know for future reference. :)

Did you just buy that from jeffjones?

Nope. I'm sure someone could mod it for you with an attenuator or disconnect the tweet or crossover but that seems kind of silly. There are plenty of s15 cabs out there with plain old speakers

Cheers. As it stands I was able to find some non-coaxial cabs anyhow, hooray!

I liked the first S12 so much I already bought a second, which will be arriving shortly. Haven't even had a chance to play them in a mix, but the one absolutely KILLS with my GK at home. Definitely one of The Sounds I have yearned for lately. Very modern without getting weird, and aggressive as all hell.

S10 you say ? Ivan, please tell me more ... The D10 is still one of my fav cabinets of all - although it is far too heavy for me to justify moving. I was up to three of those at one point. The combination of 1 deep and 1 shallow stacked on end was really darned good!

For you folks closer to the factory - you hearing any talk about neo drivers at some point ?

My current jazz rig. An old black S15D modded to S15X-D spec's. Bag End Crossover and co-ax 15. Stock replacement Eminence diaphragm on the compression driver. I also use it as the top end of a biamped rig with 2 larger but still compact 15's on the bottom. WT-800 to get them all excited.
