balanced amp into normal cab

I've recently gotten a second hand amp off of ebay. The minor problem is that it's only got speakon plugs as outputs, which only have a + and -(inverted) connector with no signal ground.

Is it ok to connect ground on my cab to the inverted signal on my amp? I'm guessing it would be ok since it's the same arrangement(almost) as when bridging two amps.

What do you mean by "balanced"? A speakon connector is still a speaker connection. 1+ is positive and 1- is negative. Same as for a 1/4"jack tip= positive and ring= negative.

When you post a thread like this, we all could be of more help if you would tell us what amp it is that you have!

If you have mono amp then usually speakon +1 is speaker hot (tip of a 1/4" plug), and -1 is ground (Sleeve).
