I'm looking for something that I can punch in chords from my Real book and play along with. Is anyone using BIAB for this? How do you like it? Are there any other programs that are similar or better?

I've been using BIAB for that for a long time - nice that you can change the tempo (slower AND faster) from the original. The other thing I use to play along with is the Amazing Slow Downer software - does a nice job of changing tempo and/or pitch.

For the Real books you can't beat BIAB, especially since most all the songs are available already in BAIB format - look at the Yahoo group archives and http://www.nortonmusic.com/

I heard there's a new version in BETA right now.
If you're a student - don't forget the academic discount. And if you don't have good soundfonts on your soundcard spend an extra $40 on the ForteDXI

Hey I recently got this program and I'm diggin it! The only thing that annoys me is you can't put 4 chords in a bar, only 1 or 2. Is there a way around this? A lot of charts use 4 chords to a bar (not that it is always necessary).

You definitely can do 4 to a bar. Try using a comma between chords, for starters.

Doesn't work for me, FWIW I'm using the latest MAC version..
