Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about picking a name until you are ready to start looking for gigs. The best names for bands that I have been in have come about organically. The ones that were forced were the worst.

So far out of the 3 bands I helped form, picking a name was difficult but kinda fun.
The names came somewhat organic. Brain storming for a few days with the other members.
My only rule was 3 words or less, preferably 2 words or less. Any more than 3 words is hard to remember imo and doesn’t roll off the tongue.
We had
Ravens Conspiracy
Pondering distortion
Current band is Aggravated Mopery. Its started as just Mopery but we found out it was already taken.
Unless its YOUR band, the other members should be involved in the process. I feel its a bonding experience but I also realize I’m a square peg in a round hole around here.

My favorite band name was "Bettys Not a Vitamin", so my tastes are a little skewed.
One day I might go with a band called "Buddy Stump"...
If it's country... "Buddy Stump and the Chainsaw Boys".

(EDIT) Just did a search... Buddy Stump is a real person, sheriff in Taylorsville Kentucky... Who'd a thunk.

Have to agree with the earlier post that The K into the C makes it a bit iffy to me.

My Uncle Paul smoked 'em forever. He basically died of full-body cancer. Loved him some James Gang tho.

I don't get it either, the two words don't really go together. Camel makes me think slow or thirsty not slick. Thirsty Camel, a drinking theme..?

If you like slick+animal I think of something slick like slick eel.

Personally I would keep trying.
