how many of you remember your first band t shirt? i do. it was a yellow kiss t shirt i got back in 1975. what was yours?

I've only owned two. A Steely Dan shirt I got in the early 90s and an Emerson, Lake, and Palmer shirt I got in the late 90s.
I've never been a fan of concert t-shirt prices.

Something Borderline Offensive
Pantera was my first concert as a young lad, and I purchased a t-shirt by their opening act Crowbar.
for me, too many years spent in the radio biz and waaaaaay too many t shirts to remember or count. So many that I used them for garage rags...still do!
I don't remember the first shirt I had with a band name on it, but the first one I bought from a gig was either Meatloaf or Mayhem (yeah I know, couldn't be much further apart), they were the first 2 shows I went to and were the same week. I forget which was first.
I forgot, I do have a Flying Burrito Brothers shirt and a Gram Parsons shirt that I bought more recently on Ebay for far less than concert t-shirt prices.
Yeahh....unfortunately mine didn't really count as a band since it was Eminem and I was about 13 at the time (25 now). First REAL band one was Smashing Pumpkins when I was 15...drastic improvement IMO

The kids made fun of me, and said, "you want a kiss? are you gay?" and all the brilliant witticisms of the day.
So I get a SECOND KISS T-Shirt; this one had the Destroyer album cover on it, just so they'd know I was cool.
This was eight grade, I think. The year before, I had been on my "Jaws" phase, and all my T-Shirts were sharks. I had one that said "Shark Bait," and showed a guy in a cage. So my nickname all year had been "Shark Bait." See how clever they were? It's almost as if some of them could read small words.
I progressed to wearing shirts from whatever concerts I went to. The Who, Ted Nugent, uh, maybe an Aerosmith? I can't remember much after those first few, but I got out of T-Shirts, and wore button downs with a denim vest, later replaced by a leather vest.
I think in ninth grade, my sister talked me into wearing nice slacks, and a cardigan sweater, and my Shop Teacher designated me "Prince Charming."
I never got tired of THAT one, believe me.

My parents got me a RUSH and ZZ Top T-shirt at a local flea market when i was a little kid. Cant remember how old I was but I do believe they were my first band shirts
