Luckily the fire was contained to the roof and hvac unit. No injuries and all were safe. Took about two hours to get back in to get our gear and our BL fought for our gig money and came away with half.
First for me and hopefully last!

Hi,
Wow! That's just about the scariest gig situation there is. Thank God there were no injuries and all your gear was safe. Good work from the local FD.
We do a song called "Burning The Roadhouse Down" but it's a metaphor. So when are you playing there again?
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff

Yikes! I know that bar. A good little joint when IT'S NOT ON FIRE.......View attachment 3045833 View attachment 3045834 View attachment 3045835 View attachment 3045849 View attachment 3045850 Big scare last night. Thoughts of losing all my gear and my amazing Genzler rig. We were nearing the end of our first set when smoke came pouring out through the vents through the whole bar. The staff hustled us all out but I was wise enough to keep my Sadowsky strapped on, grabbed my gig bag with my phone and car keys and turned off the PA and my rig. My heart sank when fire truck after truck arrived and in went the hoses and the smoke grew thicker and thicker. Visions of my gear getting soaked or worse danced through my head as I peered through the glass window.
