Like most of us, I'm on the hunt for new music to inspire me.
I wanna hear some cool alt/indie/post/whatever rock bands that have killer bassists that use cool effects. More than just a Big Muff. I wanna hear delays, modulation, and other fuzz/dirt tones!

Another cool "bass effect" band is Black Sabbath. I'm sure you've heard "NIB" by now, but here's an overlooked gem, with Geezer rocking a wah during the verse:

Might be a little dark and heavy for your tastes, but Peter Steele of Type O Negative used a lot of interesting effects on bass and the result, along with guitars and keyboards, was an absolutely huge overall sound. I know for sure he used Distortion (lots of it at times), Chorus, and Delay.
