Barber Linden EQ vs. OLC Flipster

I've had a Barber Linden EQ for a few weeks now. Sounds great, and I keep it on all the time, but honestly doesn't do 'as much' as I expected. I replaced a Submarine with the Linden. I'd consider it less modern sounding than the Submarine which is what I was looking for as my active basses are both naturally very modern sounding.

So... I pickup up an assembled but not debugged Flipster pedal from Bongomania that he put together but didn't have time to finish up. I'll start messing with it tonight and will report back.

Seeing as how it has a do-it-yourself bongomania paintjob on it I thought I'd do this to it...

The Flipster is based on the SB-12, not the B-15. I owned a B-15, and there's a subtle difference. I don't own the Flipster, but I do own the VT Bass as well as the LowEnd TrueVoice pre and the Linden EQ. The Linden EQ is really, really nice. Linden EQ + LowEnd = very sweet (the LowENd is basically the tube part of the B-15).

The Linden EQ is definitely close to the B-15 stack, and IMO better than the VT. The VT is an OK all in one unit, but I'm probably going to get rid of it.

It helps that I have a real B-15 at my disposal :)
