I have turned off the presence internal trim pot on mine and maxed the bass trimpot. This way I can now use the tone control on the pedal to adjust to different amps (I play on rented backlines mostly). I mostly set mine up as follows:

volume - 10 o'clock
tone - noon
gain - 2 o'clock

This way I get a nice low gain overdrive.

I have the bass pot maxed and the presence about halfway up but I might reduce it to remove some of the upper mid push. I try and set the volume to unity, tone around 10 o'clock, and adjust the drive with my toe depending on what I need.

In those clips they are all done with the tone at about 10'oclock and I've never played around with the trimpots cos I find my LTD SR sounds so good already.

My normal setting is probablly 10'oclock tone, 1'oclock drive and volume to taste. This gets me a noticeable crunch in a rock band mix, mid gain I'd say.

Super old thread...just picked up one of these and LOVE it. With all of these super expensive OD pedals out there, it's a wonder why this pedal isn't way more popular. Moderately priced, super simple, very musical tones. And for us bassists, the fact that it has an extremely flat EQ profile is awesome, b/c you can always run it into an EQ pedal, and voila!
