Bare Knuckle pickups

Has anyone out there tried some Bare Knuckle P bass pickups? There are 4 types, a '51 Flat poll single coil, a '52 Stagger poll single coil, a '58 split coil humbucker, and a '65 split coil humbucker. I have googled them and haven't found any user reviews so I thought I would reach out to my fellow TBer's.

I haven't tried any of the bass pickups, but I've tried some guitar pickups. I can tell you they're worth the money. They have gained a lot of reputation in the guitar world, especially for people who tune down, use high-gain amps, or use 7- and 8-string guitars.

I bet any of the P-bass pickups will sound awesome. What sort of tone are you going for? What bass would you put them in? E-mail Tim and he'll answer any questions you have and will ensure you are a satisfied customer. He has helped me immensely.

I have the 58 p-bass model and I would heartily recommend it, they are superbly made and sound fantastic, I don't understand why they aren't more popular than they are.
Well worth considering, if you can obtain one in your part of the world, I'm lucky enough to live in Devon where they are made.
Another great British pickup maker is Wizard pickups, I have one of his 64 jazz bridge pickups in the same bass, he is very well regarded on Basschat over here, excellent customer service, he will do very reasonable custom winds etc, again well worth considering

good luck with your search

I,m sure Andy at Wizard made pick ups for bare knuckle at one time.
He is a lot cheaper and is great to talk with and will give you what you need.
I might be wrong but I seem to remember that he worked for kent armstrong in the past.
He is a Wizard.

Does Anyone have any recordings they can share? I'm currently thinking about putting some BKP in my P bass but I don't know which one to get. I play out of an american p bass with a 1977 jazz neck I stuck on it and I'm having trouble deciding which pickup would fit it best.
