I am way worse than I think I am LOL, but I love to play!
Quickie question on said instrument in title:
I'm assuming (yes, know what that means) that the strings for these guitars are all going to be wound with the standard 6 string ball ends.
Not looking to go above .072 for E/B string.

Strings for bass VI are all wound; baritone guitars tuned B1-b3 or A1-a3 have two plain strings.

[In theory the second-highest (f#3 or e3, respectively) could be wound.
Even the highest could, assuming some conditions are met:
- a wound high A is doable (high B, I don't think so);
- scale length best be around 28" (not longer);
- gauge should be between .018" (a 17w probably has a core that is too thin to hold) and .022" (any larger would have too much mass ergo tension, and again be prone to breakage)
- string bending should be avoided.]

My Alvarez acoustic bari has two plain wire strings, the rest are wound. I have no idea of the gauge. They’re bronze wound,
