This might end up being a case of Me,Myself & I (given how i never see any come up for sale) but anyone else here an owner or owned any Barrington Basses ?
I managed to track down a Barrington NTB-332 Newport model located in Japan the other week (after about 30 years of searching) it was miss-listed as an Aria.
These are a few pics Zenmarket grabbed for me before packing i up for air shipping
It's had some "engaving" done on the front but no way to tell how deep it is till it arrives (might even be a sticker...i hope)
I've read many moons ago that their laminated necks are maple/walnut
But duckduck threw me up a post for a Barrington Jazz box guitar that had the same Laminated neck constrution and the guy who owns x2 of them stated they are Oak/Walnut....Now they sure look more Oak than Maple to me (i don't recall folk roasting maple back in 1989) i guess i'll know when it turns up as id expect an Oak neck to be a bit more weighty than maple ?...Should be here in a week - 10 days or so (if UK customers aren't sleeping on the job..)
Jump in if you can offer anything as all info/feedback on barringtons stuff is welcome (thx Randy Coven(R.I.P) for setting me off on lusting for one
