I have been studying the two Barry Harris Workshop Videos which are the best method that I have come across.

It is interesting to note that Paul Chambers was one of Barry Harris' best students when he spent his time in Detroit.

There is now a book that analyzes Paul's solos and signature licks.

Our instructor in our workshop took us through Barry's scales and theory a few weeks ago. It was very interesting. He studied with Barry. He commented that Barry thinks "everyone plays jazz wrong"!!!!!

Secret Chambers


Great compliment to his other 3 transcriptions studies.

I took Jims bass class @ Berklee online was great. His books are good too. Creating Jazz bass lines is a great book also.
