Bartolini 2J Squared Soapbars

Hope everyone is doing well. Does anyone have any experience with Bartolini 2J squared soapbar pickups? I'd love to know your thoughts.

Thanks, dwizum. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there on these pickups.

I'm a fan of Barts, and I like the options available of a quad coil like the 2J Squared. I would have ordered some for a recent build, but the lead time was long and I was able to get similar custom ordered quad coils with Delano. I'm really happy with my choice. If you like the Bartolini sound, I think you'll be quite happy with their quad coils.

Anyone knows which Bartolini tonality the 2J Squared falls into, the Original Bass or the Classic Bass?

The 2J squared is basically a pair of their 9J pickups, i.e. the Original Dual Coil Jazz pickups.

@dwizum, thanks. So it's not going to have the same high frequency response as two CBC pairs that I have.

They're definitely different than a CBC soapbar, more of a vintage tone if that makes sense. Pretty powerful in series and they coil split into a legit Jazz tone, which is nice. Personally, when I hear someone say "Bartolini tone" I think 9J, and hence these soapbars.

Hey I kno this is an old thread but I’ve just ordered two bc52j and a hr5.2ap harness. Anyone had any experience or heard this combo? Or can give a detailed description of the tone? Cheers
