Bartolini MK1 vs MK4 (or MK5)

Anyone have an audio clip of these pickups. I want to hear the difference between them so I can decide if I should upgrade my MK1 pickup or not.

No clips, but I can tell you the MK5's are much more open sounding, much deeper, and don't have that brittle sound of the MK1's. Definitely a nice upgrade, but it also depends on your preamp.

I just got a bass with MK1 pickups. The preamp will be the first thing that gets replaced but the pickups might not be far behind.

I curious what the alternatives are that are the same size.

No thank you, I think I'm gonna get a pair of MK4 and pull out the stock preamp and go completely passive.
Kinda wished that I hear the sound of MK4 before doing this but oh well...
