Bartolini MMC pickup in an MTD Artist 4 string?

I have had my MTD for about a month now, and I am on the fence about the standard stingray style humbucker in it, The electronics seem to have a wide response to them, but something just feels lacking with the sound, It seems to be lacking the warmth my old musicman had.

Has anybody ever upgraded their humbucker to this and has any feedback?
