Bartolini MV52CBJD3 issues

Hello all
Hi

Wondering if any of you guys can help me, i bought a bartolini MV52CBJD(3) some time ago and I've wired it according to this diagram:

Guitar Wiring Diagram 1 Humbucker/1 Volume/1 Tone/5-Way Rotary Switch

However in positions 2 3 and 4 i get super low output from the pickup (virtually none at all) and in positions 1 and 5 i get super mega output (senses the strings easily from 4 inches away!)

I've changed the rotary switch and pots round for different pots and ni still get the same problem?

Just wondered if anyone has come across this before and if so could point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Matt

PS here's the cavity just in case its of any help:

This is going to sound obvious, but did you double-check that you connected the right pickup wires in the correct positions? If you're getting "super mega" output then it sounds like you are running both halves of the pickup in series. If the quiet settings (2-4) are tinny and lacking in bass, then it could be the two halves out of phase.

Cheers for the response, i double and triple checked these cables but i'm going to do it again tonight just to make sure. One suggestion i had from guitarelectronics was that sometimes (very rarely) Barts come out the factory with the wires soldered incorrectly as to the colour code and it may be that i have my North Finish (Red) and South Finish (White) wired incorrectly.

I'll give this a whirl tonight and update accordingly, i'm also going to test wire the cables straight to the Jack in parallel.
