Bartolini NTCT Dip Switch Washburn XB-900

I am including a photo of the switch in question.
It is part of the active pickup setup on a 1999 Washburn XB-900 /Bartolini Pickups with a NTCT pre amp.
I searched for info on it..I learned that it is called a dip switch, But I don't fully understand it's function.
Apparently on my Bass #1 & 2 are turned off and #3 & 4 are on.
Can someone explain what this is doing to my sound? Is this the best way to set this switch?

There are some parts on that bass, made by bartolini, that I believe are proprietary to Washburn. One is that switch. I have a diagram of its functions somewhere. I'll try to find it and post it.
