So while building by bass i made a critical math error somewhere and the rear cavity is not deep enough for my potentiometers to go through. i need about another 2-3 mm minumum for all of the pops to actually go though and get nuts attached. i can just make the cavity deeper by making another template and then taking it to my uncles place who has the only router (i was making this guitar at school but i graduated and the school is clossing down and moving to a whole new school, which wont be open till next year) and asking him to help me with it, or i could just change out all the pots and switches to identical long shaft pots. would this work without being to much trouble and where can i get the same pots/ switches or should i just but more material and make another template?
