I was in Cincy c. 1980 (I was about 18). My bass teacher at the time knew some people there, including Andy Wolf and David Horine, and he took me there and set me loose in the Double Bass Shop for a whole day. (Stupidly, I didn't buy the nice german bass David recommended, but that's a whole 'nother story).

Anyway, for lunch, my teacher and I went out for chili. He ordered me a bowl of "5-way." I looked down at it and said "This is chili?" Spaghetti? Cinnamon?

The Chili reference is actually for Wendy's chili. Because the Bluejackets suck, the Columbus fans get a free chili w/a ticket stub at Wendy's if the Bluejackets sink the puck 3 times in one game.

In regards to 3,4, and 5 way chili... I recently found out that a regular 3 way has 900 calories and 80% of your daily sodium intake. Heart stopping fun!
