Double Bass Bass Acclimatization

I'm not sure if this was already asked, but how extremely does a change in climate effect a bass? How can/can a bass be adjusted to handle the switch?

If someone was crazy and did decide to drag a bass from, say, humid Florida to arid Arizona, what would the cost be to repair the bass or to ship the bass if it's possible to ship the bass without it getting damaged?:confused::confused:

I am not an expert by any means, but my instrument has been from Indiana, to California and back several times through the years. It is currently in Georgia, and the only reason I had to repair it (other than routine maintenance) is because it had been sitting under full tension with no real play time on it for thirty years. Your bass should be fine.
