Bass alternative to Guitar Rig

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows of a digital amplifier (or whatever they're called) program that offers more bass amplifiers than Guitar Rig 3.

I have the Amplitube Ampeg SVX, and it sounds great. I also use amplitube 2 whenever I need heavy distortion. Get a demo and try it.
There is also a plugin from Markbass, people say it sounds killer, but I haven't tested it yet.

I just was about to do a search for info on the Ampeg plug-ins are here we go...

Right now I'm using my Zoom H4's SVT amp simulator and it sounds pretty good, but not great!

Is IK Multimedia just about the only software company out there right now offering bass amp modeling?
I can't seem to find much else.
Gonna do a search on the Markbass now.

My Zoom H4 has built-in simulations for Hartke, Ampeg, Sansamp, Fender, & Marshall bass amps.
Yep, I said Marshall bass amps.

They are actually pretty decent sounding.

I just want the ability to change tones after I lay down the bass tracks if I need to.

I have the Ampeg SVX and I think it does the job. IK Multimedia also makes a Fender modeler that has a few bass amps included.

For free you can't beat Voxengo Boogex (except it needs a host)

There is a bunch of free bass cabinet impulses here, good quality:

You can load these into Revalver or Boogex

Oh and Markbass studio - I haven't tried yet but looks good.

Try StudioDevil VBA. I have been using Ampeg SVX and just recently downloaded Markbass Demo and while both sound very good, the StudioDevil in my opinion is a step above.http://www.studiodevil.com/products/"]http://www.studiodevil.com/products/[/URL]

Though this is the first time ive heard a GK vst. Im gonna try the demo!

This one was a big surprise. I checked it out and it's very nice. Easy to use and great sounds. You buy one of their interfaces and they toss in Pod Farm for free, It's a good value.

I've been checking out a bunch of free VST plugins and I have found a few that are really useful for beefing up my bass tracks.
I typically just record through my Zoom H4's built-in amp simulator which sounds really nice, but these just add a little more dimension to my sound.

Off the top of my head the ones that stick out are...

You can also get a Fender Version of Apmlitube now.
Not a great fan of Fender amps and there aren't that many in the program, just wanted to add it to the list.

I use GR3 most of the time at home. I do have the Ampeg SVX and Fender one but dont really use them.
I tried the Markbass one out and loved it but i cant justify buying it while i have the other apps already.

I have an X3 Live and I use the plugin to tweak my live tones. Through the X3's USB interface, I record the bass dry. Using the X3 instead of my nicer interface gives me the exact level hitting POD Farm that I had hitting actual POD. After I tweak the patch to my looped recording, I can save the preset file and then load it into the POD to use live.

Lincoln Brewster does this for his guitar tones on his albums so that he'll have the same exact tone going through FOH at a concert that he has on the record.
